For the pickled runner beans, boil the runner beans in salted water until al dente, rinse in cold water and drain.

Melt butter or oil, stir in flour and sauté briefly. Pour in milk, whisk well and boil down to a thick sauce.

Preparation Tip:

The canned green beans can be additionally refined with a little cream. Instead of milk you can also use soup and then finish with cream.
